Tournament Check-In
Team representatives must present credentials at the mandatory check-in Friday Evening at one of the check-in points identified below. Failure to do so will result in a one point deduction from team tournament points.
Check-In Locations
If you have a Friday game at Hoover Park in Redwood City, please check-in at that field sometime 5:00-6:30 PM at least 1 hour before your game. Hoover Park is located near Woodside Rd exit of Highway 101 at 2000 Spring St (between Woodside Rd and Charter St).
If you have a Friday game at the Mayfield Soccer Complex in Palo Alto (corner of Page Mill Rd and El Camino Real), please check in at the field sometime 6:00-6:30 PM at least 1 hour before your game.
If you have a Friday game at Bechet or McGarvey Fields in Redwood City, please check in at the main Redwood City check-in station (see below) sometime 5:00-6:30 PM at least 1 hour before your game.
If you do not have a Friday night game, you check in at either our main check-in station in Redwood City or our East Bay check-in station in Castro Valley. IMPORTANT: if you want to check-in at the Castro Valley site, email Bruce Campbell at bpcqqqqqq@yahoo.com before 1pm Friday so he bring your check-in materials there — otherwise you will have to drive to the Redwood City station.
The Redwood City check-in station is at the CAB building in Red Morton Park. Address is 1400 Roosevelt Ave on the east side of the park next to Bechet Field. Unless your team has a Friday night game at Bechet or McGarvey Field, please check-in sometime 6:30-9pm.
The East Bay Check-in Station is at the Castro Valley Soccer Club office at 20212 Redwood Road, Suite 201 Castro Valley CA 94546. It will be open 6:30-9pm. Again, if you do not email Bruce Campbell in advance as discussed above, you will need to go to the Redwood City station instead. Note that this office is on the east side of Redwood Road and is in the second building in the back. If you are traveling north on Redwood Rd, it is on the right a few hundred yards past the Safeway.
CYSA teams, unless they have travel papers, must purchase tournament insurance. Distance does not matter .. Travel papers give your team the CYSA insurance to play under USCS.
Very simple guideline to what’s required in regards to guest players:
You must present loan/guest player form for any player who is not on your official roster.
All players and coaches must have laminated Player/Coaches Passes.
1) Full US Club Soccer registered teams playing with their full set of 2007-08 US Club Soccer passes, bring:
Note: If any of your guests is not USCS registered, you must register her/him for the whole year($16) or get a pass just for the event($8).
2)
CYSA/USYSA registered teams.
a.
If you have travel papers from your local authority, you are good.
b.
If you do not have travel papers:
i.
Purchase $50 tournament insurance for up to 26 players.
ii.
Purchase event team passes ($8/player) – not a great choice
TOURNAMENT INSURANCE FOR SHOWCASE TEAMS WITHOUT VALID
If you do not have US Club Soccer passes, and you wish to play in the Showcase, you may obtain insurance from US Club Soccer for $50, for the Showcase weekend.
If you need this insurance, please request it immediately!
Under this option, you will identify your team members at the check-in with your CYSA (or out of state equivalent) passes, birth certificates, and official roster, but you will insure your players, on line, with US Club, and present proof of that insurance to the Showcase.
Once your on-line insurance application is completed, you will e-mail a roster of those players who will play on your team in the Showcase, to US Club Soccer. US Club soccer will then e-mail you a certificate of insurance covering those players you listed. This process begins by clicking this link (have your credit card ready):
Once you have completed this process, and received your insurance from US Club, you will bring to the Showcase check-in the following documents:
·
CYSA (our out of state equivalent) passes, to identify your players.
·
Birth certificates.
·
Your team's Golden Rod, or out of state equivalent (the official roster from your governing soccer body).
·
Your US Club certificate of insurance; and
·
The roster you submitted to US Club.
If you have any questions about this process, please e-mail Ray Bolaños at rpbolanos@sbcglobal.net. Please do not call or e-mail the Tournament Director.
Thanks.
